Facilities Management Custodian I – 3rd Shift

About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks a reliable Custodian I to join the Facilities Management team on the 3rd (night) shift. This position supports the daily operation and cleanliness of campus buildings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal in assigned facilities.
• Maintain floors, restrooms, and common areas according to university standards.
• Report maintenance issues and assist with minor repairs as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning equipment responsibly.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to prioritize tasks during the night shift.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Reliability and punctuality for shift attendance.
