Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for its Facility Maintenance team in the Quad Cities Metropolitan region. The supervisor keeps the company's buildings, facilities and equipment in working order, supervising day-to-day maintenance in a high-tempo 24/7 production environment and coordinating hourly wage employees on non-routine, self-directed tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations and coordinate workloads for hourly employees
• Communicate with site management and customers to understand requirements and solve complex problems
• Lead by example, motivate and delegate, and support strategies that keep operating costs low
• Evaluate and train teams to eliminate waste, reduce costs and system failures, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance in the CMMS
• Document cost savings, create and modify site procedures, and track key performance indicators
• Respond to work orders, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations and industry standards
• Follow safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout and PPE, and correct safety issues
• Work flexible hours, including possible weekends, holidays and overtime, and manage operations within cost, schedule and contractual requirements

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years of experience in a maintenance environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a security access badge at the client site
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs repeatedly, and work in physically demanding conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade school credentials
• CMMS and SAP software experience
