Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the upkeep and proper functioning of all City of Conroe police department facilities. This onsite position ensures that buildings, systems, and equipment meet safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on police department facilities.
• Inspect and repair HVAC, electrical, fire control, and plumbing systems.
• Apply building codes and proper construction techniques to all work.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage general contracting tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair small engines and related equipment.
• Operate a motor vehicle safely for site visits and emergency response.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of contracting or related experience; municipal experience preferred.
• General contracting license preferred.
• Valid Texas Class C (or higher) driver’s license.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
