Facilities Electrician

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Facilities Electrician to provide primary electrical support across the campus. You will maintain critical electrical systems, collaborate with other trades, and ensure safe, reliable operation of the facility’s infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair transformers, switchboards, controllers, breakers, and circuit wiring.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generation and transmission equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and execute timely repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code and safety standards.
• Manage electrical aspects of capital projects and facility upgrades.
• Assist with mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, telephone, fiber‑optic, and network infrastructure maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Conduct routine inspections of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and emergency stations.
• Operate specialized equipment safely, including forklifts, bucket lifts, and woodworking tools.
• Support room setups, inclement‑weather response, and special events as needed.

Required profile

• Valid electrical license or journeyman certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, fire protection, and life‑safety codes.
