Extraction Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

Cresco Labs is looking for a detail‑oriented Extraction Technician to join its manufacturing team. The role supports preparation, processing, and formulation of cannabis products while ensuring compliance with state regulations and company quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain extraction areas according to SOPs and state regulations.
• Process biomass using solvent‑based and solventless extraction methods, operating high‑RPM equipment such as centrifuges and Cup 15 systems.
• Perform lab bench work including product filtration, formulation and quality‑control checks.
• Maintain accurate batch records, compliance logs and assist other departments as needed.
• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment and tools following hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a laboratory, food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality protocols.
• Ability to lift and operate heavy equipment and work with solvents under hot/cold conditions.
• Effective time‑management, teamwork and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Operation of centrifuges and Cup 15 extraction systems.
• Handling of solvents such as ethanol and butane.
• Lab bench techniques: filtration and product formulation.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based software; familiarity with point‑of‑sale or inventory management systems a plus.
