About the role
The Extra Help Police Officer provides essential law‑enforcement services on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock campus. This temporary, fixed‑term position supports public safety by enforcing traffic, criminal, and parking regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol assigned campus areas to detect and prevent crimes and traffic violations.
- Issue citations for traffic and parking infractions and identify safety hazards.
- Perform security checks of campus buildings and monitor security and fire panels.
- Investigate crimes, accidents, and incident reports occurring on campus.
- Collaborate with campus officials and law‑enforcement agencies as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification from an Arkansas law‑enforcement training academy in accordance with ACA 12‑9‑106.
