Extra Help Assistant I – Socio‑Computational Modeling

About the role

The Extra Help Assistant I will support the COSMOS Research Center in developing socio‑computational models that examine cyber campaigns on social media. Working on‑site at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the assistant will collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team to understand group dynamics, activation, decentralized decision‑making and collective action online.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building and testing predictive models of deviant socio‑technical behavior across multiple social media platforms.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data related to social media interactions and cyber campaigns.
• Support the research team in documenting model assumptions, results, and methodological approaches.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and academic publications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Interest in computational social science, cyber security, or related fields.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an academic research environment.
