Expert CNO Developer – Advanced Cyber Operations

About the role

MANTECH is seeking an Expert CNO Developer to lead the creation of mission‑critical cyber capabilities for national security agencies. Based in Hanover, MD, you will drive technical excellence in Computer Network Operations and work on cutting‑edge solutions that protect critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute software test plans for CNO solutions.
• Develop scripts using Python, Perl, VBScript, or Unix shell to automate tasks.
• Install and configure network security devices such as firewalls and IDS.
• Lead engineering teams in evaluating and implementing CNO capabilities.
• Replicate real‑world network and system scenarios in a lab environment.

Required profile

• BS in a technical discipline with 12+ years of experience, or MS with 10+ years, or high school diploma with 16+ years.
• Current active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and ability to obtain a new polygraph if required.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex systems across platforms (Windows, Unix, mobile, network devices).

Required skills

• Python, Perl, VBScript, Unix shell scripting.
• C/C++ programming.
• Networking protocols (TCP/IP) and socket‑level programming.
• Low‑level system internals knowledge.
• Experience with Ansible, ELK/SPLUNK, NiFi, VMware, traffic‑generation tools, and network device commands.
