Exercise Physiologist – Clinical Role

About the role

The Exercise Physiologist will join the UAMS Health team in Benton/Bryant, providing expert assessment, prescription, and monitoring of exercise programs for patients across a range of clinical settings. This position supports the university’s mission of integrating education, research, and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive exercise assessments and develop individualized exercise prescriptions.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust programs, and document outcomes in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate exercise interventions into treatment plans.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on the benefits and safety of exercise therapy.
• Participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives related to exercise physiology.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Current certification or eligibility for certification as an Exercise Physiologist.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative clinical environment.
