Executive Director – Senior Living Community

About the role

The Executive Director will lead a senior living community in Staten Island, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, regulatory compliance, and strong financial performance. This position reports to regional leadership and works closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for daily community operations.
• Ensure high-quality resident care, service, and satisfaction across all departments.
• Drive occupancy growth in partnership with sales and marketing.
• Develop, mentor, and support department leaders and team members.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Oversee budgeting, expense management, and revenue targets.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, referral partners, and the local community.
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor quality assurance initiatives and implement best‑practice operations.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to achieve strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3‑5 years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related service industry.
• Proven track record managing operations, budgets, and team performance.
• Strong understanding of senior‑living regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Results‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
