Events & Community Manager – Miami

About the role

Rho is seeking a dynamic Events & Community Manager to establish the company as the go‑to banking platform for startup founders in the Miami ecosystem. You will build authentic relationships through coffee chats, roundtables, and in‑person events with founders and VCs across South Florida.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive events roadmap for Miami’s founder audiences, managing budgets and tracking success metrics.
• Foster relationships with VCs, founders, accelerators and community organisations, creating a network that generates qualified leads.
• Own end‑to‑end event planning, including delivering at least one major anchor event and implementing scalable systems.
• Develop strategic partnerships with ecosystem amplifiers such as eMerge Americas and Miami Tech Week.
• Engage Rho customers with exclusive programming to strengthen brand loyalty.

Required profile

• 3‑7 years of hands‑on experience building and scaling professional communities with measurable engagement growth.
• Strong existing network within the Miami and South Florida startup ecosystem.
• “Boots on the ground” mentality and ability to become ubiquitous quickly.
• Deep understanding of startup dynamics across stages and ability to deliver targeted value.
• Experience in high‑growth startups, VC firms or scale‑ups in community, marketing or ecosystem roles.

• Base salary $130,000‑$160,000 per year, plus equity.
