Event Staff - T-Mobile Center

About the role

Event staff team members are stationed at various posts throughout the building during events at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. They greet guests, direct them through security checks, verify tickets and help keep the facility safe.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers through metal detectors and scan them with metal detection wands
• Search bags to remove restricted and unauthorized items
• Inform customers politely but firmly of event rules
• Verify tickets and credentials, assist patrons to their seats and allow only valid credentials into restricted areas
• Help with crowd control inside and outside the venue
• Resolve problems and complaints, contact management when needed
• Turn in lost and found items to Guest Services 103 and document them
• Interact courteously with guests, vendors and employees, and help communicate safety and emergency procedures
• Work scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; related work experience preferred
• Strong customer service focus and ability to build good relationships with guests, clients and colleagues
• Able to follow instructions, solve problems and stay calm under pressure
• Ability to see, bend, grasp, move and lift up to 20 lbs, and to stand or sit for long periods
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
