Event Day Hawker - PNC Bank Arts Center

About the role

The Event Day Hawker sells food and/or beverage through the concourse and in-stand at the PNC Bank Arts Center. The role is about assertive selling while keeping a cheerful, positive manner and making a good impression on clients. The position is paid $16 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Sell food and/or beverage through the concourse and in-stand, walking around and approaching guests actively
• Offer the highest level of customer service to internal and external guests
• Perform inventories and settle cash sales after the event
• Maintain product knowledge and stock replenishment, and handle inventory control
• Keep a professional attitude and appearance, and maintain consistency in attitude and behavior
• Enhance the fan experience in unexpected ways and show initiative with an appropriate level of independence

Required profile

• Able to transfer high energy into sales and able to do math without a cash drawer
• Outgoing, effective interpersonal and oral communication skills, and a team player
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and under pressure
• Ability to walk up and down stairs while holding weight up to 20 lbs
• Follows safety policies and completes company-wide and job-specific safety training
