About the role

NXP is looking for a technician for its Etch MST position in Austin, Texas. The selected candidate is responsible for preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment in the Etch processing areas, including Lam Alliance (4400, 4500, 9600), AMAT P5000 and P5200, STS Pegasus, DUV Fusion M200PC and Gasonics Asher L3500.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
Follow PM tasks
Work with hazardous gases and chemicals using the appropriate safety apparatus and be medically cleared for such work
Present issues and solutions clearly, verbally and in writing
Work in a diverse team, multitask and adapt to rapidly changing priorities with minimal supervision
Produce results in a timely manner and be self-motivated

Required profile

General understanding of mechanical systems, vacuum control systems, temperature control systems and gas delivery systems
Basic understanding of electronics
Able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working with minimal supervision
