Estimator In Training – Entry Level

About the role

The Estimator in Training works closely with an experienced estimator to learn how to diagnose vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and communicate the value of services to customers and insurance partners.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers at drop‑off, build rapport, and map damage with them.
• Take initial photographs, upload images and notes to CCC One, and notify production of vehicle arrival.
• Verify estimates during teardown, finalize using the Repair Planning Template, and create the final parts list.
• Set promise dates with the Promise Date Calculator, call customers to review estimates, and provide regular updates.
• Participate in production meetings, schedule next‑day completions, and adjust estimates after technician feedback.
• Assist insurance adjusters with damage reports and support claim re‑inspectors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Ability to complete 16 I‑CAR units within the first 12 months.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and have clear vision for accurate estimating.

Required skills

• Photo‑imaging software proficiency.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office (preferred).
• Experience with CCC One or similar estimating platforms.
