About the role

This contract‑based position leads the emergency department nursing team in Duluth, Minnesota. The Supervisor ER Nurse ensures high‑quality patient care while managing daily unit operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee ER nursing staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
• Provide expert triage, assessment, and treatment for a wide range of emergent conditions.
• Mentor and evaluate nursing personnel, facilitating ongoing training and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and ancillary services to deliver seamless patient care.
• Monitor resource allocation, staffing levels, and supply inventories to maintain efficient unit flow.
• Lead rapid response efforts during critical emergencies, guiding the team through decisive interventions.

Required profile

• Active RN license in good standing with required certifications.
• Minimum 1 + year experience as an ER registered nurse.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in acute or emergency care.
• Strong assessment, triage, and communication abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under high‑pressure situations.
