Equity AVP - Restaurants

About the role

Barclays is hiring an Equity AVP - Restaurants in New York within its Equity Research team. The role produces research with differentiated market insights and actionable ideas for clients, working with the Senior Analyst to write reports and presentations, monitor market trends and economic indicators, and engage institutional clients with research findings and strategic recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse market, sector, corporate and economic data to build investment theses and produce research ranging from company or sector notes to long-dated thematic reports.
• Present research views to clients through face-to-face and virtual meetings, hosted events and written communications.
• Engage with Markets, Client Strategy and other stakeholders to raise awareness of the research with clients and internally, prioritising the most relevant clients.
• Share insights with internal clients to help them navigate financial markets and risks.
• Work with the Supervisory Analyst, Compliance and others so that research is delivered in a compliant way.

Required profile

• Detailed analysis and valuation of companies, and proficiency in financial modelling and interpretation of detailed financial statements.
• Solid written and verbal communication, able to explain investment recommendations to clients.
• Related sector experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with Bloomberg and advanced Excel, experience building relationships with institutional clients, and ability to lead projects and mentor junior analysts.
• FINRA licenses SIE, S63, S86, S87; CFA designation or in process.
• Legal right to work in the US; the role is regulated by FINRA.
