Equipment Technician IV - 2nd Shift

About the role

Stryker is hiring an Equipment Technician IV for its Chandler facility, working the second shift Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with overtime as needed. The technician keeps production and factory support equipment in reliable condition through preventive and corrective maintenance, light custodial duties, modifications and repairs, and provides manufacturing engineering support to R&D engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the daily facility checklist, respond to work orders and fill out corrective maintenance forms
• Maintain wet processing equipment, ultrasonic generators, chemical delivery systems, vacuum dryers, pneumatic fixtures and warehouse equipment such as bay doors, pallet wrappers, boxing machines and label makers
• Support new equipment installations by unloading trucks, moving equipment and doing piping work
• Keep the preventive maintenance system up to date with accurate logs and written records
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and controls, hot and cold water distribution, air compressors, electrical rooms, loading docks, forklifts and high-pressure washers
• Handle chemicals as needed while wearing required personal protective equipment
• Use applications and software for equipment maintenance, AC control, work order monitoring, purchasing parts, safety information, chemical usage tracking, training, document retrieval and spare parts management
• Work independently or in teams, assist cross-functional teams (safety, lean manufacturing, lab technicians, quality, engineering, operations) and help other sites when needed

Required profile

• 3+ years of related manufacturing experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work in multiple programs such as Outlook, Excel, preventive maintenance software, energy management and work order management systems (preferred)
• Understanding of general electrical and mechanical principles preferred

What we offer

• Pay starting at $28.01 per hour, up to $38.75 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential
