Equipment Operator

About the role

Equipment Operator position at The Summit Club, a private residential golf and lifestyle community located just outside Las Vegas, NV. Reporting to the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent, or Equipment Manager, you will operate a variety of equipment to maintain the golf course and surrounding landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate utility vehicles, fly‑mos, mechanical sand‑trap rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs, skip loaders and other equipment.
• Mow greens, tees, fairways and rough using small power mowers, trimmers, greens mowers, tee mowers, fly‑mos and backpack blowers.
• Rake and manicure desert landscape, sand traps and transition areas; perform hand mowing and trimming.
• Assist with renovations and construction tasks such as shoveling, raking, excavating and back‑filling ditches.
• Load and unload materials, sweep cart paths, clean drains and culverts, and collect litter.
• Operate small utility vehicles to haul mowers, materials and debris.
• Perform janitorial duties and maintain building cleanliness.
• Cultivate, water and care for trees and plants; lay sod and participate in annual overseeding.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience on a golf‑course maintenance team or similar construction environment.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk and lift items over 50 lb for extended periods.

Required skills

• Knowledge of large and small engine operation and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic‑powered machine operation and repair.
