Epic Analyst, Security

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Epic Analyst focused on security. In this role you will support end‑users, maintain and configure security settings within Epic applications, and collaborate with clinical and IT teams to ensure secure and efficient system operation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary support contact for Epic end‑users, identifying and resolving application issues.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor security functions, access controls, and user records across Epic modules.
• Respond to security alerts, incidents, and breaches, and generate appropriate reports.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Support testing phases, workflow design, and documentation of changes.
• Provide day‑to‑day application support, evaluate service tickets, and retrieve requested data.
• Collaborate with trainers to develop documentation and training strategies for new features.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, committee meetings, and project status reviews.

Required profile

• Experience working with Epic applications in a healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of security principles, access management, and incident response.
• Ability to analyze clinical workflows and assess the impact of IT changes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
