Environmental Test Technician

About the role

CACI is hiring an Environmental Test Technician in Danbury for a 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Under minimal supervision, the technician sets up and runs tests on electro-optical systems exposed to environmental stresses such as vacuum, temperature and vibration. The position is regular, full time, with no travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and perform varied electro-optical tests while subjecting products to environmental stresses
• Maintain and complete detailed test procedures and data analysis
• Set up, perform and support other environmental lab tests
• Perform test equipment preventative maintenance and maintain environmental chambers and related support equipment
• Install and instrument the hardware to be tested
• Maintain test logs, update the status board and interface with test and quality engineers
• Maintain the work area (5S)

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience in an environmental test lab
• Preferred: associate's or technical degree (two years)
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Required skills

• Skilled operation of test lab equipment and performance of testing
• Intermediate computer skills with standard business software (MS Office, Outlook)
• Desired: experience with thermal-vacuum chambers, computerized thermal control and data acquisition systems, and vibration control and data acquisition systems including exciters and amplifiers
• Desired: experience setting up and running electrical, mechanical and optical functional tests
