Environmental Services Manager

About the role

The Environmental Services Compliance Manager provides management support, analysis and reporting to ensure compliance with Ryder’s environmental policies across supply chain services, including warehousing and cross‑docking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform environmental due‑diligence assessments for new supply‑chain opportunities from RFP issuance through Go‑Live.
• Stay current with local, state and federal environmental regulations and develop controls to reduce risk.
• Provide day‑to‑day compliance support to warehouse and cross‑docking facilities, including routine audits and response to external audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Five or more years of progressive responsibility in environmental compliance, preferably in a large corporate setting.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Familiarity with environmental laws affecting transportation and logistics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of environmental regulations (local, state, federal) related to emissions, waste and hazardous materials.
• Ability to conduct facility audits and lead responses to external environmental audits.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
