Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

About the role

Zeno Power is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and continuously improve EHS programs at its Radiological Facility in Sunol, CA. Reporting to site leadership, the manager will integrate conventional safety and environmental controls with radiological work planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies in compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA and other regulations.
• Lead hazard identification, job safety analyses, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Manage environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance for air, water, and hazardous waste.
• Design and oversee emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire, spill, and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership.

Required profile

• B.S. in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or regulated industrial setting, preferably with radiation facilities.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA and California environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and manage EHS management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
