Transition Manager

About the role

Zeno Power is seeking a highly motivated Transition Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at its Radiological Facility in Sunol, California. This role reports directly to site leadership and works closely with the Radiation Protection team.

Key responsibilities

• Own Zeno’s EHS programs, policies, and procedures ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
• Lead hazard identification, job safety analyses, risk assessments, and incident investigations for facility operations, construction, and maintenance.
• Manage environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance activities, including air, water, and hazardous waste programs.
• Develop and lead emergency preparedness and response plans, conduct EHS training, and oversee the Integrated Work Control Process.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings, supervise and mentor staff, and perform hiring manager functions.

Required profile

• B.S. in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Physical Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated facilities, preferably with radiation‑related operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and California environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and manage safety and environmental work systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
