Entry Scientist – Clinical Research

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Dermatology seeks a full‑time Entry Scientist to support clinical and translational research projects. This position contributes to the department's scientific goals and helps advance the university's reputation in medical research.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and maintain patients in clinical research protocols.
• Apply best practices in clinical and translational research performance.
• Process, analyze, and interpret research data.
• Communicate findings through scientific publications, conference presentations, and agency reports.
• Design, develop, and execute independent research ideas in collaboration with the team.
• Assist in preparing grant applications and scientific reports.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate rotating students, when required.
• Stay current with scientific literature and attend relevant conferences.

Required profile

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Problem‑solving skills and sound judgment for critical decisions.
