Entry-Level Groundskeeper

About the role

Hampton Greens, a newly remodeled garden-style community of 326 units spanning 16 acres of pine trees and landscaping, is hiring an entry-level Groundskeeper. The role keeps the grounds, amenities and curb appeal in line with standards and supports the service team. It is a full-time position in Bellevue, Washington.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments before make-ready, transfer trash to the dumpster or storage area and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests and help the make-ready specialist with the turn process.
• Change locks in line with property policy and check that pool gate gates meet code and safety standards.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report hazards and dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Treat residents with respect, answer questions and respond sensitively to complaints.
• Take part in safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents.

Required profile

• Previous groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Able to work inside and outside in all weather and to work a flexible schedule, including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance and working in confined areas.

Required skills

• Safe use of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Good communication skills, reading, writing and speaking.
