Entry-Level Graphic Designer

About the role

The University is seeking an entry‑level Graphic Designer to collaborate with various campus stakeholders and produce visual assets that reinforce the Daemen University brand across print, digital and social media channels.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with university colleagues to develop creative concepts aligned with brand guidelines.
• Design and produce print collateral, digital graphics, and social‑media assets.
• Maintain consistency and accuracy in all deliverables while adhering to brand standards.
• Incorporate feedback, revise designs, and manage files with proper naming conventions and storage.
• Capture photo and short‑form video content using a mirrorless or DSLR camera or mobile device.
• Edit photos and basic video clips to support digital campaigns and storytelling.
• Assist in creating timely, engaging content that aligns with marketing initiatives.
• Work directly with the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications.

Required profile

• Entry‑level professional capable of taking projects from concept to completion.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple creative tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to incorporate feedback and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign.
• Basic video editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro or similar).
• Experience capturing and editing photos and short‑form video using a mirrorless/DSLR camera or mobile device.
