Entry-Level Electrical Engineer – Environmental Test Lab

About the role

Leidos' Defense Systems / Manufacturing division is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join its Defense team in Huntsville, AL, supporting the Common Hypersonic Glide Body (CHGB) program. The engineer supports the development, refinement and repository management of component test software.

Key responsibilities

• Use electrical drawings to troubleshoot and analyze system failure modes.
• Develop and maintain common failure mode documentation.
• Run Post Data Analysis Toolkits to determine functional test results.
• Execute test procedures to support testing and vehicle delivery.
• Analyze test results, generate Test Reports and document non-conformances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience in testing.
• Experience in a test environment and background in manufacturing and/or test engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team and with electrical systems and RF test equipment.
• Must be a US citizen and hold (or be eligible to obtain) a Final Secret Clearance; must live in or be willing to relocate to the North Alabama/Huntsville area.

Preferred qualifications

• Active security clearance.
• MIL-STD-810 test environment experience.
• Electrical system design and troubleshooting experience.
• Support of DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles or hypersonic technologies.
• Windchill experience for engineering drawings and data management.
• Environmental and dynamic testing experience.

The pay range is $69,550 to $125,725.
