Engineering Manager – New Product Development (Knees)

About the role

Enovis is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the New Product Development (NPD) effort for knee orthopaedic solutions. Based in Austin, Texas, you will guide cross‑functional teams from concept through commercialization, ensuring innovative medical products reach the market safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of biomedical, mechanical engineers and engineering technicians.
• Oversee internal and external design, development, testing, and manufacturing suppliers.
• Define and manage product development scope of work to meet safety, quality, performance, and cost targets.
• Maintain accountability for Austin‑based projects and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in cross‑functional development teams and collaborate with business and surgeon leadership.
• Drive the execution of projects from concept through commercialization.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams in a product development environment.
• Experience mentoring team performance and ensuring effective engineering operations.
• Strong accountability for project oversight and delivery.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, including surgeons and business leaders.
