Engineering Manager – Behavior Systems

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Behavior team within its Self‑Driving Systems division. You will guide a world‑class group of engineers building scalable behavior systems for cars, trucks, mining, construction, and off‑road vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap and architecture for behavior planning across L2 and L4 autonomous vehicles.
• Design and implement safety‑critical algorithms for diverse driving domains, including urban streets, highways, and dirt roads.
• Grow, mentor, and manage a high‑impact engineering team focused on behavior systems.
• Collaborate with Perception, Research, Simulation, and Vehicle Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of the behavior stack.
• Drive critical architectural and business decisions that influence contract value and market opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in robotics or autonomous systems, with a focus on behavior technologies.
• Proven track record leading technical teams and delivering complex software solutions.
• Strong communication skills to partner with customers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
