Engineering Manager – Axion Autonomy Toolchain

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Axion team, which builds a modular, all‑domain autonomy toolchain spanning simulation, integration, MLOps, and mission‑control UI. You will guide a cross‑functional group of engineers to deliver high‑impact capabilities for defense and industry customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of software, simulation, integration, and UI/UX engineers.
• Define and own the technical roadmap for assigned Axion modules, translating product vision into concrete deliverables.
• Drive engineering best practices, including architecture design, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with product, hardware, operations, and customer teams to ensure scalability, performance, and field‑readiness.
• Influence system architecture and integration across high‑fidelity simulation and autonomous hardware platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in complex, safety‑critical or autonomy‑focused environments.
• Strong track record of delivering large‑scale software products from concept to deployment.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills, with the ability to align technical work with business goals.
