Engineer, TechOps Propulsion Engineering

About the role

Delta TechOps is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of assigned engines, engine systems, and APUs. The role involves overseeing configuration, maintenance programs, and providing technical direction to support safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve reliability, configuration, and maintenance programs for assigned propulsion equipment.
• Communicate significant issues to TechOps leadership and provide technical oversight for engine work scopes.
• Develop technical recommendations and corrective action plans to meet Reliability Program and FAA/QA/CAS audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Delta engineering procedures.
• Support engine maintenance budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting for contracts and customers.
• Assist engine shops and test cells with shop visits, troubleshooting, and safety‑focused practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering preferred; related engineering degrees accepted with sufficient experience.
• Prior experience with turbine engines or engine repair is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Must be performing satisfactorily in current role, prioritize safety, and be authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; must be at least 18 years old.
