Engagement Manager, Private Capital / Aerospace & Defense

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Private Capital practice in North America is hiring consultants to support its rapid growth. The team works with private equity investors throughout the deal lifecycle, from opportunity identification through due diligence and post-transaction value realization. The opening is for Engagement Managers, open to Associates and Senior Consultants, in the Private Capital/Aerospace & Defense practice group, based in Boston, Washington DC, New York or Chicago.

Required profile

• Experienced professionals already working in or interested in focusing on Aerospace & Defense, serving private equity clients, with a particular focus on commercial aerospace.
• Professional experience with exposure to commercial and operational due diligence in a management consulting firm.
• Experience across or within industries within Private Equity.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups).
• Strong strategic problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in formal and informal settings.
• Ability to take initiative, find creative solutions and work fluently with the team.

• Base salary range of $135K to $240K, depending on experience, skills, training, location, certifications and education.
