Engagement Manager, Insurance & Asset Management

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Insurance Practice advises leading institutions in Life and Property & Casualty insurance, reinsurance and pensions on strategy, financial effectiveness, product design, operations, underwriting and pricing. As an Engagement Manager, you will manage the execution of individual project workstreams and support the Partner group in project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution of individual project workstreams, including developing hypotheses, collecting data, building models and analyses, and conducting primary and secondary research
• Turn findings into written presentations and review and discuss them with clients and other stakeholders
• Support the Partner group in project delivery through accurate, high-quality execution

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or a Life Insurance company
• Familiarity with the operations and technology components supporting insurance products
• Experience with insurance topics such as underwriting, risk and finance
• Proven track record of leading and managing teams and meeting tight deadlines
• Strong mathematical background and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program and willingness to travel
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not offered

• Base salary range of $225,000 to $240,000, with performance-based incentives and year-end bonuses
