Engagement Manager, AI Practice (Quotient)

About the role

Oliver Wyman Quotient, the firm's AI practice, is hiring an Engagement Manager in San Francisco. The role suits highly motivated professionals with significant prior experience who want to manage AI projects end to end, from hypothesis and data collection to proof-of-concept and production deployment. It reports to Principals and works closely with Partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution of individual project modules: hypotheses, analytics, data collection, operating models, research and insights
• Translate client needs into technical requirements and support data scientists and engineers from proof-of-concept to production deployment
• Keep up with AI, technology and its implications for clients' businesses, customers and society
• Support the Partner group in project delivery and develop executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences
• Seek senior business, operations and technical guidance from Principals and Partners
• Coach consultants and help them develop their skills

Required profile

• 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally at a top-tier strategy, technology or analytics consulting firm or in a technical product management team
• Strong technical background in Computer Science or Data Science
• Track record of leading teams and meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
• Strategic problem solving and analytical skills, applying technology and data expertise to solve business problems with AI
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Excellent verbal and written communication, commitment to impactful solutions, willingness to travel and unrestricted U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship offered)

Required skills

• Generative AI, machine learning and advanced analytics solutions
• Data engineering, model development, deployment pipelines and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Generative AI applications: RAG, agentic frameworks, prompt engineering and evaluation methods
• Familiarity with technology artifacts such as architecture diagrams
