Endowed Professor – Wealth Management

About the role

The Endowed Professor will provide visionary leadership for the Wealth Management Institute, serving as the chief academic and strategic leader responsible for advancing interdisciplinary education, research, innovation, industry partnerships, and community impact in wealth management, financial access, and financial technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the institute’s strategic vision and long‑term growth plan to achieve national recognition.
• Secure external funding through grants, philanthropic support, and corporate partnerships.
• Manage and mentor faculty affiliates, postdoctoral researchers, staff, financial coaches, and graduate assistants.
• Design, implement, and evaluate financial‑well‑being programs for HBCU students with measurable outcomes.
• Build and maintain partnerships with financial institutions, fintech firms, community organizations, policymakers, and other HBCUs.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated scholarly achievement in financial well‑being, economic mobility, or financial access.
• Experience leading large‑scale research initiatives or demonstration projects.
• Commitment to improving financial well‑being and economic opportunity for individuals and communities.
• Evidence of successful external grant procurement and management.
