About the role
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are among the first responders during emergencies, providing critical medical care and transport for injured or ill individuals.
Key responsibilities
- Assess injuries and medical conditions on scene.
- Administer emergency medical care, including basic and advanced life support.
- Extricate trapped individuals safely.
- Transport patients to medical facilities.
Required profile
- Completion of the Emergency Medical Science curriculum at Durham Technical Community College.
- Knowledge of basic and advanced life support techniques.
- Hands‑on experience through lab sessions, clinical rotations, and field internships.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) techniques.
