Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Reliable Robotics is developing safety‑enhancing technology for aviation. As an Embedded Software Engineer you will join the Embedded Systems team to create low‑level software and firmware that powers autonomous aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Develop C/C++ flight software, including requirements, design, code, unit tests, and requirements‑based test cases following DO‑178C procedures.
• Work on bare‑metal operating system and hardware initialization, networking, protocol drivers, and memory interfaces.
• Create Python‑based integration test cases and maintain CI infrastructure for automated builds, testing, and deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing C or C++ for embedded, high‑performance, or safety‑critical applications.
• Experience working in a DO‑178 software development environment.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with bare‑metal development, hardware initialization, and protocol driver implementation.
