Elvis Duran Morning Show Intern

About the role

iHeartMedia is hiring interns for its Elvis Duran Morning Show in New York. The internship covers several tracks: audio producer, phone operator, social media and video producer. It is open to full-time undergraduate students at a four-year college with a minimum 3.2 GPA, and offers daily assistance with the AM show, social media creation and production coordination.

Key responsibilities

• AUDIO PRODUCER: upload and manage the Elvis Duran On Demand podcast channel, create sound bites and best-of clips, help write openers for the syndicated show, edit and publish the weekly intern podcast, and do general office tasks.
• PHONE OPERATOR: write weekly horoscopes and design Instagram graphics, prepare a national day prep sheet, answer phones, keep a daily show log, help with contesting and general office tasks.
• SOCIAL MEDIA: write, pitch and research stories for ElvisDuran.com, schedule posts on X, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, help plan the online strategy, create graphics for the live show, attend sales meetings with the Digital Director and collaborate with Promotions on contests.
• VIDEO PRODUCER: edit segments for YouTube and social media with Adobe Premiere, live switch the show with NDI Studio and vMix, make thumbnails and graphics with Photoshop and After Effects, shoot with DSLR and mobile cameras, and create client videos for iHeartRadio pre-roll ads.

Required profile

• Full-time undergraduate at a four-year college, minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Transcript and a letter from the school confirming current enrollment.
• Excellent editing, written and spoken communication skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities; media field experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) is a plus.
• Experience with a live switcher is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Avid Pro Tools is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

What we offer

• Pay of $17.00, depending on experience, skills and market data.
