Elementary Teacher (Kindergarten & 3rd Grade)

About the role

Cedarwood School is seeking enthusiastic teachers for Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, and Spanish instruction. You will inspire young learners, support their academic growth, and nurture social‑emotional development in a nurturing, progressive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for 3rd‑grade students.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, respect, and collaboration.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods and learning technologies to address varied learner needs, including special‑education and early‑intervention support.
• Assess student progress through formative, summative, and standardized evaluations.
• Implement proactive behavior‑management strategies and effective classroom management.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support individual student needs, including children with autism or other learning differences.
• Integrate literacy, math, physical education, library services, and other subjects into daily instruction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Prior classroom experience with elementary‑aged children.
• Demonstrated expertise in lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
• Experience working with students requiring special‑education or early‑childhood services is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and families.
• Familiarity with learning‑technology tools to enhance student engagement.
