Elementary Spanish Immersion Teacher (Pre‑K to Grade 5)

About the role

Join a pool of qualified elementary Spanish immersion teachers to support Pre‑K through Grade 5 students across multiple Maryland schools. Candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise for the 2027‑28 school year.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction in Spanish, aligning with MCPS curriculum and standards.
• Create a supportive environment that fosters intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor their outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records, manage equipment and materials, and follow district procedures.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Required profile

• Fluent bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English.
• Meets Maryland state certification requirements for elementary education.
• Holds a bachelor's degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, colleagues, and families.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, policies, and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate multicultural perspectives and technology into lessons.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

What we offer

• Salary range from $64,591 to $131,472 per year, based on education and experience.
