Elementary & Early Childhood Teacher

About the role

Join Montgomery County Public Schools as an elementary and early childhood teacher, working under the direction of the school principal to deliver high‑quality instruction. You will help create an environment that supports the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of every student.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver appropriate learning experiences aligned with MCPS curriculum.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes student success.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor their outcomes.
• Communicate and collaborate with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required procedures.
• Ensure proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

Required profile

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, policies, and effective instructional practices.
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process and multicultural education.
• Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Strong collaboration skills with administrators, colleagues, parents, and community members.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human‑relations abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Meets Maryland state certification requirements for elementary education.
