About the role

The role requires planning, coordinating and performing work with a high degree of independence, while keeping the Project Engineer informed of significant problem areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in construction and final inspections, and coordinate design components with a multi-disciplinary team for site-specific modifications and new construction.
  • Prepare AutoCAD construction drawings, site-specific specifications, contract documents and independent cost estimates.
  • Manage project-related tasks and communications, including safety plans, sequence of work and cutover plans.
  • Generate and coordinate Integrated Risk Management Checklists, communication plans and the project risk register, and coordinate work permits for lead and asbestos impacts.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate construction activities to meet milestones, manage on-site cutovers, testing and restoration, and track Joint and Contractor Acceptance Inspections.
  • Review project deliverables, conduct internal design reviews and provide technical recommendations on punch-list closures.

Required profile

  • Electronics or Electrical Engineering degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and pass a drug screening.
  • Ability to work independently in a large engineering organization and in a fast-paced team environment.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD / MicroStation or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and engineering scheduling tools.
  • Desired: knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA standards, NAS facilities (ASR, ATCT, VOR, NASET, NASEB) and CWP 4.1.12.

Pay range: $87,100 - $157,450.
