Electrical QA Inspector - Base Building

About the role

1 Resource Group is hiring an Electrical QA inspector for base building projects, working on site. The role ensures the quality and compliance of electrical systems. Cleanroom and semiconductor experience is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical systems in base building projects to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Review electrical design plans, specifications and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with project team members to identify and resolve electrical system issues.
• Recommend improvements and help resolve quality issues on time.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests and reports.
• Keep up to date with the latest codes, standards and industry best practices.
• Support customers in resolving design package and panel schedule issues.
• Manage EEW, COHE and lockout/tag-out procedures and obtain sign-offs.
• Review Electrical SIPP's for content accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical QA or a related role, preferably in base building.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical design plans and specifications.
• Good communication, collaboration, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• VA or WA electrical license, or 5 years of QA/QC experience.

Required skills

• Instrument and controls experience preferred.
• NEC knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical specifications preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant electrical QA software and tools.
• Preferred certifications: ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers) and IAEI (International Association of Electrical Inspectors).
