Electrical Engineer – Propulsion / Engine Systems Electronics

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Electrical Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test advanced electronics for propulsion and engine systems. The role covers the full PCB development lifecycle, from translating system requirements into schematics through layout, bring‑up, testing, and integration.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle PCB development for propulsion and engine applications, including schematic capture, high‑density layout, component selection, board bring‑up, debugging, and qualification testing.
• Design and optimize flight controller circuits, power distribution, power supplies, motor‑controller and actuator electronics, and support their integration with propulsion hardware.
• Perform circuit simulations, worst‑case, thermal, DFMEA and component derating analyses using LTSpice or equivalent tools.
• Lead verification, functional and design verification testing, document results, and conduct root‑cause failure analysis.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, test, systems, quality and manufacturing teams throughout development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing, testing and troubleshooting complex board‑level electronics.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Altium Designer (or equivalent PCB design platform).
• LTSpice or comparable circuit simulation tool.
• Analog, digital and power electronics design.
• Laboratory equipment proficiency (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, function generator, DMM, electronic loads, bench power supplies, thermal chambers, test automation).
• Communication interfaces: CAN, I²C, SPI, Ethernet.
• Familiarity with common MCU/CPU architectures.
