Electrical Engineer Lab Assistant Manager

About the role

This position is responsible for the development of electrical testing of high-reliability, radiation-hardened, trusted microelectronic components used in strategic systems throughout the Department of Defense. The incumbent develops test packages for electronic components, including test interface hardware, test circuit schematics, PCB layout, software to control automated test equipment (ATE), test procedure support and other test support as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and simulate test circuits for characterizing and evaluating microelectronic components
• Design and develop printed circuit boards and automated test programs
• Collect test data, review data produced by others, and complete parts of analysis and design reviews
• Assist in preparing reports and correspondence, and track project development status
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
• Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings, and verify compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and seven years of relevant experience with microelectronics and/or electronic components
• Active Secret clearance, with interim clearance required to start; US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance
• Preferred: Microelectronic component test experience, EDA tool knowledge, basic programming, analog or ASIC circuit knowledge, understanding of microelectronic fabrication processes, and an active Secret or Top-Secret clearance

• Lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters and analyzers
• Preferred: Altium, Eagle, LTspice, Python, C/C++, Visual Basic, git, LabVIEW
