Electrical Calibration Technician

About the role

Moog is seeking an Electrical Calibration Technician to join its on‑site team in Blacksburg, VA. You will work closely with engineering and process leads to ensure that electrical and mechanical test equipment is accurately calibrated and maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Calibrate and verify electrical tools such as soldering irons, multimeters, temperature devices, sensors, ultrasonic generators, oscilloscopes, and frequency generators.
• Calibrate mechanical measuring devices including micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain tool inventories, clean equipment, and track calibration dates and seals.
• Troubleshoot and repair both electronic and electromechanical equipment as needed.
• Document calibration activities, schedule external services, and develop procedures for complex calibrations.
• Support training and cross‑training of team members and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; a 2‑year degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• At least two years of hands‑on experience with electronic or electromechanical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
• Basic math proficiency and familiarity with AC/DC schematics.
