EHS Manager

About the role

Clopay Corporation is seeking an experienced EHS Manager for its Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility. You will lead the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and practices in line with OSHA and other regulations.
• Manage safety equipment, conduct regular facility inspections, and lead accident investigations.
• Design and deliver training programs on hazard communication, forklift operation, lock‑out/tag‑out, first‑aid, hearing protection, and fire prevention.
• Coordinate emergency response for injured or ill employees and maintain statistical safety reports.
• Prepare and maintain OSHA and other mandated records, providing proof of compliance to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (preferred but not required).
• Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong safety background.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives from concept to completion.
• Advanced certification or specialized safety education is desired.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental health and safety standards.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and accident investigations.
• Ability to develop training materials and deliver safety training.
• Proficiency in maintaining compliance documentation and statistical reporting.
