About the role

Join the Georgia State Government Education Division as an Educational Aide – STEM Tutor, supporting Life Science students through peer‑study sessions and exam reviews. This part‑time, non‑benefited role offers a flexible schedule of 16‑19 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and facilitate group study sessions for Life Science students in the Science Tutoring Center.
• Promote peer‑study and organize exam review sessions for basic science courses.
• Maintain a productive study environment across multiple simultaneous groups.
• Follow supervisor directions, attend scheduled shifts, and perform additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Completed degree‑level courses in Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology and/or Chemistry.
• Grades of “B” or higher in the relevant science courses are preferred.
• Approachable, encouraging personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and adapt to procedural changes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic life‑science concepts (Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Chemistry).
