Education Program Specialist – Statewide Career Cluster Programs

About the role

The Education Program Specialist provides statewide leadership and coordination for instructional programs across four career clusters: Advanced Manufacturing, Arts, Entertainment and Design, Construction, and Supply Chain & Transportation. This role supports Georgia’s effort to improve career and technical education for more than 10 million citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate development and administration of statewide career‑cluster programs.
• Provide planning and consultative services to local schools and identify professional‑development needs.
• Develop training materials and methods in partnership with staff and external agencies.
• Create and manage a statewide advisory committee representing diverse stakeholders.
• Assess program implementation, document results, and recommend improvements based on research and evaluation data.
• Coordinate Georgia Performance Standards curriculum development and implementation.
• Oversee selected industry certification processes and collaborate with the Georgia Skills USA Board and related organizations.

Required profile

• Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) educator certification.
• Master’s degree in education, education administration, or a related field.
• At least five years of teaching experience in a related CTAE field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
